Santorini - Thira - the most romantic island in Greece

Santorini or Thira is nice island with very unique history :)

The island is the site of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in recorded history: the Minoan eruption , which occurred some 3600 years ago at the height of the Minoan civilization. The eruption left a large caldera surrounded by volcanic ash deposits hundreds of feet deep and may have led indirectly to the collapse of the Minoan civilization on the island of Crete, 110 km (68 mi) to the south, through a gigantic tsunami. Another popular theory holds that the Thera eruption is the source of the legend of Atlantis.

An island located in the southern Aegean Sea. It is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago which bears the same name and is the remnant of a volcanic caldera. It forms the southernmost member of the Cyclades group of islands, with an area of approximately 73 km2. The municipality of Santorini is composed of the inhabited islands of Santorini and Therasia and the uninhabited islands of Nea Kameni, Palaia Kameni, Aspronisi, and Christiana.

The island is so unique and beautiful that it is better to stay there for several days. Wherenever you will stay there are a lot of places to visit, everyone will find there something intersting. This island is very romantic and nice so it is suitable for couples and families with children.

Warsaw2

Warsaw

I fell in love with Warsaw, thank you dear Aneta ;)))

I would like to tell you about my trip to Warsaw. I decided to go there to visit my dear friend Aneta ;))) I have never been there before, was very excited and didn't expect something special from the city. But of course I liked everything ;))) But it was not very easy to come there cause I was very busy at work and it was hard to leave my work in order to make visa. Polish Embassy in Moscow is also something special ;))) In order to apply to visa you can spend there hours and even worse days, someone told me that spent there one week and still could not apply normally for visa ;)))
In my case I applied for visa from second time, thanks God in 5 day I got a visa and next day went to Warsaw ;))) I went there by bus ;))) But I could not imagine how difficult it would be ;))) Of course 28 hours ;))) haha but it was worth it because I could see different small cities ;))) and I went through Riga and on my way back I stayed for one day in Riga ;)))
When I came to Warsaw Aneta with her father met me ;))) I was so tired, but very happy to see my dear-dear friend ;)) We could not believe that we met, last time we were together in Moscow in June 2011. Aneta was in Moscow and I was leaving to India ;))) Gushhh...now it seems to me like a dream ;)))
So we spoke a lot ;))) I met with Aneta's family ;))) They are great ;))) Her mommy is just amazing ;))) very-very kind ;)) have to say that all of them were very kind to me ;))) I just a lucky for people ;)))
Next day in the morning we went to center of Warsaw. And I fall in love with Warsaw ;)))
Aneta showed me the most beautiful places of the city ;)))

Our first photo together
in one cafe eating "Pirogi", in Russian style looks like "Vareniki"

Nyam-nyam
Cozy streets

Modern art
Again we are eating someting delicious ;)))
Easter fair ;))

Warsaw Bolshoi theatre ;))) looks almost the same like in Moscow ;)))
very unusual :)))

Warsaw is an extremely dynamic city with new hotels, apartments buildings and offices. Modern housing estates and shopping centres are everywhere. Skyscrapers and imaginative constructions by renowned Polish and international architects are proof that Warsaw, steeped as it is in history, is a city with a future!

Love this photo ;)))

Aneta, you are so cute ;)))
Beatiful old part of the city - Old town ;)))
Serena - the symbol of the city Warsaw ;)))

From the restaurant on 40 floor at the hotel Mariott. It is great view from there and Novotel Center is righ opposite ;)))

With around 30 theatres and 60 cinemas, Warsaw is undoubtedly
the cultural centre of Poland. These are supplemented
by a myriad of festivals as diverse as the Chopin,
Jewish Culture and the Warsaw International Film Festival.

Located just 10km from the centre of Warsaw and set
in 45 hectares of gardens and parkland, the Palace of
Wilanow carries the moniker of the Polish Versailles.
Making an interesting and rewarding place to visit, this is
both a reminder of a time when monarchs ruled a nation
that was at the centre of European life and presents one
of the few surviving pre-WWII palaces left standing in this
region.

So beautiful and peaceful place ;)))

There are so many nice places of unterest ;))) you can find more detailed information here ;))) http://www.inyourpocket.com/poland/warsaw/sightseeing/Palace-of-Culture-and-Science/Palace-of-Culture-and-Science-PKiN_18453v
